Setaflash Series 8 Closed Cup Flash Point Tester - High Temperature - 82000-2U
An automated closed cup flash point tester called the Setaflash Series 8 has a temperature range of ambient to 300°C (ambient to 572°F). The device makes use of a hot wire ignitor.
There are two ways that a flash point can function:
- Flash
 - No Flash and Ramp

By using the ramp mode, which raises the sample temperature by 2°C/min, it is possible to determine a flash point that complies with IP 534 and ASTM D7236. Every 1°C up to 100°C (and every 2°C rise above 100°C) until a flash is detected or the end of the test temperature is reached, the dipping sequence is automatically initiated. A new electrical hotwire is used by the ignitor (gas flames are an option).
